04 VALUES

MORRISMADE baked goods are the product of generational knowledge and passion.

We believe in the value of using ingredients that are natural, organic, and high quality. Our process is unhurried, yet precise, and you can taste the difference in the results. Natural fermentation transforms bread from a guilty pleasure, to nutritious sustenance. How it used to be, how it’s supposed to be.

We source as much as possible from the land around us. Find lavender from the garden on our packages, maple syrup from our maple trees, honey from our bees, eggs from our chickens. We believe in supporting the small and local businesses, American made, ethically sourced. At heart we are bakers, gardeners, beekeepers, doing what we love, doing good.

We’re proud of our work and honored to share it with you.

05 MORE

  • 100% natural, no additives, no preservatives, no chemicals. In fact, sourdough always starts with just three ingredients: flour, water, salt. We use certified organic flour to make sure only the highest quality, pesticide-free wheat is making it into our products and our bodies. It’s food you can feel good about eating and sharing with family and friends.

  • Sourdough is the original way of making bread with natural, slow fermentation. Breads and baked goods are fermented for a number of hours, sometimes days, in a process that cannot be rushed. The slow fermentation process produces baked goods with a lower glycemic index, less gluten, and a higher bioavailability of nutrients than standard bread. Sourdough bread is an excellent source of calcium, folate, niacin, selenium, thiamine, riboflavin, manganese, iron, copper, and antioxidants.

We know that what we eat matters just as much as where it comes from and the quality of ingredients. Our favorite flavors may be subjective, but the clarity and simplicity of our ingredients list and how we source our ingredients goes beyond taste. It’s how we take care of ourselves and, through our Bread & Bakery, how we can put that care out into the world.

  • What we eat comes from nature, and the best food comes from the healthiest practices. Supporting our favorite brands and farmers, as well as ordering supplies from US companies whose practices and quality is apparent, these are at the heart of our love for what we do. We prioritize natural, biodegradable packaging without compromising on aesthetic.

  • Our region is driven by seasons, and you’ll see that reflected in our menu offerings throughout the year. We have the privilege of being surrounded by land and farms in a community that’s buzzing about what’s in season, what’s fresh, and what we can get from our neighbors.

The reasons we love making

bread (sourdough especially)

are many, but we don’t mind

talking about it—
