is cast in gypsum stone by hand and gains its color is from earth-found mineral pigments. After it’s cast, we seal it to be wax-ready using earth safe seals and natural oils. Gypsum stone has been used in art and ceramics for thousands of years, and its two predominant sources are Spain and US (including Michigan).

is what we’ve found to be the ideal mixture of 65% soy wax (from Midwest soy bean farmers) and single-filtered 35% Michigan beeswax — two clean, farm sourced waxes mixed for optimal burn quality.

is braided American cotton, free of lead or toxins. A unique thing about Morrismade is that we secure our wicks using only the wax itself and a metal tab — no adhesives, no polyethylene, no toxins.

this candle is 100% of the land. It is simply stone, cotton, natural waxes, and oil. It’s completely biodegradable with zero lingering waste— so it can harmlessly return to the land. We’re beyond pleased to be putting this out into the world (using biodegradable shipping).
Our “Wood Pressed” candles get their distinct texture from a pressing of split maple firewood. So for us, this texture is familiar and nostalgic.

I’m an asthmatic candlemaker. I might be a slow runner but I am quick to be bothered by chemicals in scents and products that most people don’t seem to notice. It’s why I started making my own candles, and why we get so excited about sharing them with others.
No phthalates. No parabens. No lead. No VOCs. No adhesives or those polypropylene stickers.
Our pure beeswax and soy wax is local and organic. Our fragrance oils are clean, certified, and must pass the asthma test. Our stone container’s color is natural, derived from soil pigments, and made candle safe with an earth safe seal.
